Tomorrow is the critique for our
"A Place For a Leaf"
Project.
The "place" was to be constructed solely of one piece of white, 12.5" x 12.5", piece of paper.
It was up to us students to decide how we wanted to interpret these limitations.
There were many different types of paper to choose from.
Velum, trash, or printer/copy paper is very thin and fragile while bristle board and water color are very thick, sturdy papers.
After many experimentations with the papers I ended up using a, 6" x 2", piece of sketch paper.
Sketch paper is a good balance between the thin and thick papers.
Generally, when thinking of a leaf I imagine a green shape that is unique to the type of leaf.
The reason why I made the "place" the way I did was because I wanted to show a closer, more intimate view of the leaf.
